Rifle River Watershed Nonpoint Implementation

Huron Pines and partners have long been involved in watershed improvement projects in the Rifle River watershed, in the southeast portion of our service area. Recently, the project was awarded $382,000 from the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative that, combined with $178,000 in matching funds from partners, will enable us to update the existing watershed management plan, implement habitat improvement projects and conduct an environmental stewardship outreach program.
