Rifle River Habitat Improvement
Saginaw Bay RC&D Council
The Saginaw Bay RC&D Council, along with the help of the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, is installing tree revetments along a three mile stretch of the Rifle River selected for habitat improvement. The cover and roots of the new trees, when matured, will help stabilize and protect the stream banks, thereby improving water quality and natural habitat for all native plants and animals living in the area.
