The Les Cheneaux Watershed Project
Upper Peninsula RC&D Council
The Les Cheneaux watershed is located in the northwest corner of Lake Huron and consists of a 36-island archipelago characterized by an intricate complex of channels, shallow bays, and rock-studded peninsulas. The quality of life and the economy of the entire region are dependent on a healthy watershed. The goal of the Les Cheneaux Watershed Project (LCWP) is to help protect area water quality through education, best management practices, and long term land use planning.
